A Family That Was Completely Alone When Taking This Picture Notices Something In Background (Photos)

An Australian mother posted this chilling image on Facebook, claiming it shows the ghost of a girl who died from drowning in the same exact spot 100 years ago.

Kim Davison, of Queensland, posted the 2014 photo on the “Toowoomba Ghost Chasers” Facebook page, and it appears to show four children and two adults, the Daily Mail reports.

Davison says she was swimming with her three children and a female friend when the photo was taken at Murphy’s Hole in Lockyer River, southeast of Queensland last year. But they discovered later on, upon examining the image more closely, that there was a fourth face in the background.

Lu, pictured in the white sunglasses, recalls:

There was only three children there on that day. Two adults in the water and two adults on the bank. There was only three children there on that day. Two adults in the water and two adults on the bank. One was taking the photo by her phone camera. We have had two IT specialists look at this photo. At the time of taking this photo there was nothing between us. The older girl had trouble in the water on two occasions that day. And if u have a closer look at this photo there are quite a few extra faces in the water.

The story turns even more spine-tingling when researchers told Davison that a 13-year-old girl drowned in the same creek in 1915.

On November 22, 1915, Brisbane Courier published a death notice for Doreen Sullivan, who died while swimming in the watering hole. The newspaper clipping reads:

Doreen O’Sullivan, aged 13 years, eldest daughter of Mr. James O’Sullivan was accidentally drowned whilst bathing in the Lockyer Creek on Friday afternoon. Nearly an hour elapsed, before the body was recovered. The spot, which has always been considered dangerous, is known as Murphy’s Hole, and is over 20 foot deep. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon and was largely attended. The convent school children dressed in white, marching next to the hearse.

An administrator of “Toowoomba Ghost Chasers” Facebook page uploaded a negative version of the photo, saying, “Light flare will always show up as black shadowing when the photo is inverted.. and in this case the light flare is coming from full sunlight reflecting off the water onto the child.”

So, do you think a ghost was captured on camera at Murphy’s Hole? Or is the picture just a blurry snapshot of another child? Either way, the Toowoomba Ghost Chasers Facebook page administrators say they don’t ever want to come back to the creek for a swim, just to be safe.
