Police in Greenville, Ohio, are looking for a woman who grabbed fellow customer Deanne Kenworthy by the hair and threw her to the ground. As the video below shows, the altercation continued when Kenworthy stood back up, and was finally ended by Wal-Mart employees.
The woman believed Kenworthy cut her in line and turned violent as a reaction. “Fighting over a line is like a 10 year old fighting in a lunch line,” Kenworthy said. “We are adults here.”
Kenworthy had been with a customer service representative who then asked her to step aside to fill-out some paperwork. She went back to the representative when she finished, but the woman behind her became angry, rushed ahead, and pushed her cart in front of her.
“I said, ‘Sorry, I don’t have time for this,’ so [s]he grabs the back of my hair and throws me, I mean literally throws me like a sack of potatoes. When I landed I hit my back and my elbow and busted my head and then when I tried to get back up she kicked me back down.” Kenworthy commented to Fox45.
Several Wal-Mart employees saw the fight breakout and called 911.
Greenville Police Officer Morrisa Reed responded to the call. She noted two children crying in a shopping cart when she arrived to the scene and another woman screaming. “There was no reason for her to do it,” Reed added. “She just did it because she thought the woman cut in line.”
The store manager led the suspect out of the store. Surveillance footage has captured both the fight and the woman’s car as she drove off.
According to ABC13, the Wal-Mart employees said they recognized the suspect from a few days earlier when she rammed her shopping cart into another customer she believed cut her in line.
Surveillance footage was released by Greenville police in hopes that the woman will be identified and reported.
