The 'Tree Man' Can See His Hands Again

Abdul Bajandar holds up his afflicted hands

An Indian man afflicted with a terrifying condition that encased his hands in bark-like lesions has been given relief thanks to modern medicine.

Abdul Bajandar's limbs had sprouted twisting warts due to a condition called Epidermodysplasia Verruciformis, earning him the cruel nickname of "Tree Man."

Doctors meticulously lasered off the lesions over the course of 16 surgeries, unearthing the fingers trapped within. Now freed from the warts, Bajandar looks forward to working again and being able to hold his daughter.
