The scan for an Ohio teenager who was most recently seen on a companion’s farm right around seven days prior reached an end on Friday when police found the kid’s body in a shallow grave.
The corpse of 14-year-old Jonathan Minard was found around 10:15 a.m. close to a farm in Washington Township, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office affirmed in a news discharge.
Police gave few detailings surrounding the revelation said the corpse was transferred to the Cuyahoga County medical analyst for a post-mortem examination. It could take a little while before the outcomes are released.
“At this time, no further questions will be answered as the investigation remains pending. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office will continue to gather evidence until the investigation is complete,” the statement released by the authorities.
Carroll County Prosecuting Attorney Steve Barnett stated, “Jonathan’s discovery is just the first step in gathering evidence to answer to many unanswered questions that have led us to this moment.”
Jonathan was most recently seen April 13 helping a 29-year-old companion on the dairy farm of the companion’s father, experts said. The adolescent griped of a toothache and said he’d call his mom at the companion’s home to pick him up.
In any case, Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams said Jonathan’s mom didn’t get that call.
