A lady in California is being searched by authorities after she was captured on a surveillance camera dumping a sack brimming with little dogs beside a dumpster behind a store.
The Riverside County Animal Services said in a Facebook post the episode occurred in Coachella after a lady was caught on surveillance video around 1 p.m. pulling up in a Jeep and leaving the vehicle carrying a plastic bag.
The lady would then be seen strolling towards a dumpster utilized for recycling materials and dropping the clear, plastic bag alongside the canister before driving away.
Animal Services Commander Chris Mayer said in a statement “There is no excuse for dumping puppies. Especially in today’s age when we or other shelters would be willing to get these animals to foster parents or rescue partners. This was a shameful act.” According to officials about an hour later, a passerby named John was rummaging through the trash discovered the puppies still alive. There were a total of 7 puppies inside the bag three days old. The puppies are now being cared for by a rescue shelter in Orange County.
