Again a high-speed vehicle driven by a drunk driver took lives of three persons who were not even near the road.
On Saturday night at a “high rate of speed,” a drunk driver
plowed into a home in central California killing a mother, father and their
10-year-old son who were asleep in their beds.
Fox 40 reported an 11-year-old girl has been hospitalized
with major injuries.
The driver named Ismael Huazo-Jardinez, 33 was treated for minor wounds. He faces three counts of vehicular murder as well as DUI.
The crash occurred in Sutter County, California. A video
from the scene shows a totally destroyed, demolished house.
Authorities told KCRA that Huazo-Jardinez did not slow down
at a turn; his Chevy Avalanche tore into the home at about 10 p.m.
According to gathered information, the family was “very hardworking” farm workers.
CHP spokesman David Hernandez said, “If you add alcohol and
speed, it’s a recipe for disaster.”
